Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD)
In Fall of 2025, Kurtis volunteered to educate developmentally disabled adults of many age groups, teaching them the fundamentals of security awareness. Through this effort, real-world topics including phishing, multifactor, social engineering topics were easily taught in a user-friendly way
The Flying Pig Marathon
In Spring of 2025, Kurtis was a volunteer participant of the flying pig as part of the 1-in-26 team with the Epilepsy Alliance of Ohio. Through this effort, Kurtis and 25 others who were diagnosed with epilepsy ran, proudly representing the 1-in-26 people who will be diagnosed with epilepsy across the world each year
Student Ambassador and Curriculum Advisor
As a student of the CityLink and Alumni, Student Ambassador, and Curriculum Advisor of the Per Scholas training program, Kurtis now promotes both programs in his community, referring others to their fully funded academic training programs that provide reassuring success with just the right amount of work
